John Paul II’s ‘Universi Dominici Gregis,’ 1996 Apostolic Constitution — Some Inconsistencies

This Constitution, Universi Dominici Gregis, bar one change made by Pope Benedict XVI (#266) in June 2007, is the ‘special law’ that will govern a papal election — if one was to occur anytime soon.

The 2005 conclave that elected Benedict XVI was based entirely on this Constitution.

There are some inconsistencies in this Constitution. Nothing earth shattering. No real show stoppers. Just ‘oh, wow’ examples.
