Cardinals Turning 80 — Up Until June 2013, By Louis Epstein

Your graphical list of upcoming 80th birthdays wasn’t updated to reflect the retirement of Rosales…I stick to my plain list that doesn’t take note of their jobs, insert potential consistory dates at your leisure, but I note that the European majority of the electorate is being maintained amid the countdown…

[Horizontal lines added by Anura Guruge attempt to indicate POTENTIAL cardinal creating consistory dates.]

  1. Are the horizontal lines potential consistory dates?…what of the Feast of the Chair of Peter, the 1998 and 2001 occasion?

    1. Yes, they were, off the top of my head, when I thought we could get potential consistories. When is Feast of the Chair of Peter? Do you mean Jan. or Feb. 2012? If so I think it is too early. Poor pope will still be recuperating from his busy Christmas schedule. Plus Fe. 29 is HIS big day. Overtakes his buddy … a BIG first for him. Has always been in the shadow of the pole. Thanks. Cheers.
P.S., Your comments on this blog will not get you the audience you get on popes-and-papacy. VERY different readership.

  2. It’s in late February…after Zen in 2012 and just before Husar in 2013.

I am fanatically averse to registering in order to post.
