This is a papal election-specific companion site to Anura Guruge’s www.popes-and-papacy.com.

www.popes-and-papacy.com sets out to cover most topics related to the popes and papacy, with an emphasis on papal history. Some aspects of past papal elections will indeed be featured at  www.popes-and-papacy.com. But papal elections deserve a more focused forum, particularly to discuss topics related future elections — which by definition do not fall into the category of ‘papal history’. Hence this BLOG and Web site.

Thank You.

  1. I just wanted to let you know that when you were talking about the Cardinal from Colombia you spelled it with a u (Columbia). The correct way is with an o. Just wanted to let you know.

  2. Hello, the use of the image of the Coat of Arms of the Order of the Holy Sepulcher is copyright-free but requires you to quote the creator of this one, in this case me. So thank you credit me for the authorship of this image. I remind you what the license says on wikipedia for the reuse of this image : “You must attribute the work in the manner specified by the author or licensor (but not in any way that suggests that they endorse you or your use of the work)”. So thank you to quote the author. Mxxxxxu CxxxxE

    1. I received YOUR comment, left at https://papam.wordpress.com/
      about the attribution.

I am SORRY for that. I have DELETED the image. Please check.

I got the image, as you point out, from Wikipedia. The authors according to them are:
SanglierT Tenant: Sodacan Casques: Sodacan, Katepanomegas, SanglierT Devise: Sodacan Bannières: SanglierT

So I am CONFUSED. Hence why I deleted the image. Please clarify. I am SORRY if I did not correctly attribute you.

      Thank you.
      Anura Guruge
